Ira Stickler’s is a I.P Counsel with JS Barkats, and his practice focuses on various aspects of intellectual property law. As part of his practice, Mr. Stickler routinely advises clients on matters related to portfolio development and the prosecution of individual patent applications. Mr. Stickler has also provided patent infringement and validity evaluations, prepared freedom to operate opinions and successfully negotiated licensing agreements. Over the course of his career, Mr. Stickler has drafted and prosecuted well over 150 patent applications for inventions in the mechanical and software arts.
Before starting the firm, Mr. Stickler worked at intellectual property boutiques in the New York metropolitan area where he prepared and prosecuted patent applications related to medical devices and graphical user interfaces. Mr. Stickler holds a J.D. from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law and a B.S.E. in mechanical engineering from the University of Pennsylvania.
